Explosion on Con Edison power plant located at 14th Street and Avenue C on East Side in Manhattan caused power outages, which left more than fifty thousand customers without electricity and caused disruption of subway service below 14th Street. So far, no inguries are reported. Ironically, next to power plant, traffic lights are up and running.
