Ground Zero_011125_04.JPG

Demolition works and burning fires at Ground Zero in New York produce thick clouds of dust that spread into surrounding areas often causing coughs, astma attacks, and skin irritation among local residents and those who work near Ground Zero. Meanwhile, government agencies and various public health institutions are involved in the argument about air quality in the region. Based upon air tests, government agencies claim that the air is perfectly safe. In contrary, public health institutions argue that it is premature say that the air is safe--it may well contain toxic substances including asbestos and may pose short- and long-term health hazards.
